Funding Pathways

Self- Refer

At My Speech Pathologist, families are welcome to book appointments directly—no referral is required.

If your child isn't eligible for Medicare rebates or other funding, you can still access high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology services as a private client.

From your first enquiry, we'll take the time to understand your concerns, explain the assessment or therapy process, and work with you to create an individualised plan that supports your child's communication goals.

Medicare

Eligible families may be able to access Medicare rebates for speech pathology services through a GP referral under:

  • Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan

  • Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder Pathway (M10)

If you're unsure whether your child is eligible, please get in touch—we're happy to help explain your options.

Please note: Medicare rebates do not cover the full cost of speech pathology services, and an out-of-pocket fee will apply.

National Disability Insurance Scheme

My Speech Pathologist supports families who are Self-Managed and Plan-Managed under the NDIS.

NDIS-funded services are billed in line with the current NDIS Price Guide. To commence services, we require a copy of your child’s current NDIS plan prior to the initial consultation.

If you’re unsure whether speech pathology funding is included in your plan, we’re always happy to guide you
